Wellness Beyond Self: Giving Back to Community

Wellness Beyond Self: Giving Back to Community

When I started this journey with Gemstory and now GenWell™, it was never just about building a business. From day one, I believed wellness should be shared – not just within workshops or team spaces, but also with the wider community.

That’s why receiving the Company of Good Conferment by NVPC Singapore this year means so much to us. It’s more than recognition; it’s a reminder that businesses can be a force for good, creating positive ripples far beyond the walls of their offices.

Why Giving Back Matters

Wellness is not complete if it’s only about ourselves. Just as a tree doesn’t grow for itself but provides shade, oxygen, and fruit to others, we too are meant to extend our wellbeing outward.

In today’s society, more companies and individuals are realising that success is not just measured in profit, but in purpose. By giving back, we help build a culture of care, resilience, and hope – something that our fast-paced world needs more than ever.

GenWell™’s Intention Moving Forward

For us, giving back is not a one-off project. It’s an ongoing commitment. Through workshops with beneficiaries, collaborations with schools, and wellness programs for caregivers and communities in need, we want to make wellness accessible to those who need it most.

We are also exploring new ways to extend impact – from partnering with like-minded organisations, to creating wellness experiences that can be gifted forward, to designing activities that support both individuals and social causes.

Our hope is simple: to be part of this societal shift towards kindness, inclusion, and shared wellbeing. Because when we uplift one another, the entire community thrives.

A Collective Journey

The Company of Good conferment reminds us that we are not alone in this vision. There is a growing community of purpose-driven businesses and individuals across Singapore, all moving in the same direction – building a society where doing good is not the exception, but the norm.

At GenWell™, we are humbled to stand among them, and we are committed to keep finding meaningful ways to give back, contribute, and support.

Closing Reflection

Wellness is never just personal. It is also communal. The more we care for ourselves, the more capacity we have to care for others. And the more we give to others, the more we grow within ourselves.

This is the harmony I believe in – a circle of giving, receiving, and uplifting. And as we move forward, GenWell™ will continue to do our part, so together we can build not just healthier teams and individuals, but also a stronger, kinder society.
